The Bells

memorial’s most unusual feature is a set of eight change-ringing
bells—one of only 50 in all of North America. The bells
will hang in an open 43-foot-high tower, designed to give visitors
a view of the bells as well as the people ringing them.
The
bells, weighing from 359 to 1,059 pounds, were cast in London,
England, at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry, makers
of the Liberty Bell. Their vigorous ringing offers
an unforgettable experience, making the Veterans Bell Tower Memorial
a landmark destination. |
